Success at the Language Olympics!

Språkolympiaden

Today our students were wonderfully successful at the regional finals of the iLcompetition (Språkolympiaden) in the group Södra Sverige 2 in Helsingborg. The final scores were:

English: First Place
French: First Place
German: Second Place
Spanish: First Place

Admission of New Students

Now 60 new students who were placed in the top of our queue line system have been offered a place in year 4 the academic year 2018–2019. Their parents have until Friday the 9th of March to accept or decline the place. Then, from Monday the 12th of March, we will start to reach out to the next families in the queue line if we have places available.

Workshop for New Students

On Saturday the 3rd of March we will have a workshop for students that have been offered a place in year 4 next academic year. They will be able to participate in short classes in English, Swedish and Mathematics to get a feeling for how we do things here at IES, and there will also be time for the parents to speak with the teachers, the administration and me.
Time: 10.00–12.00

Welcome to Open House the 23rd of January!

In order for interested students and parents to be able to see our school and meet the teachers and the Principal, we will hold an Open House on Tuesday, January 23 at 17:00–19:00. The address is Wendesvägen 1, Hässleholm.

Agenda—First Day in School, August 17th

08.30–08.45

New Students—Grade 4

Grade 4 students should be at the PE Hall before 08:45. At this time they will receive a short introduction to the school from Mr Gossell and will then meet their class and their mentor before heading down to the main school building. Grade 4 parents are welcome to stay with them until they leave the PE Hall.

Please Note: We have made some changes, so from now on the two Senior Grades, Grade 8–9, will have their home homerooms in the former Junior Building. Thus, that building is no renamed to "Senior Building". The former Senior Building is renamed to "Main Building".

The School Day officially starts. All Grade 5–9 students will be picked up by their mentors and go to their homeroom. Grade 4 students will be walked to their homerooms by their mentors after the introduction in the PE Hall.
